The second Ideal 9T combine in Romania worked this summer on the Agro Edma farm in Teleorman. The machine harvested, on average, 40-50 ha of straw cereals per day.
Farm Agro Edma SRL from Izvoarele, Teleorman County, established in 2000, exploits 2,500 ha with wheat (600 ha), barley (600 ha), rapeseed (600 ha), corn (300 ha), sunflower (200 ha ) and mustard (200 ha).
In the 2020 campaign, with the Ideal combine and three other smaller combine harvesters, almost 2,000 ha of wheat, barley, rapeseed and mustard were harvested in less than three weeks. "The lack of staff was the first reason that made us think of a large combine, to replace two smaller ones. We have eight people working on machinery, on 2,500 hectares. If I continued to work with four combine harvesters, I would lose four people just for harvesting. Thus, we have an extra man for the works from the summer campaign ", says Daniel Sandu, the head of the Agro Edma farm.
Ideal 9T: "It's very complex, but easy to adjust"
He chose the Ideal combine because he also had both tractors and Massey Ferguson combines on the farm and knew he could rely on the reliability and performance of the brand. However, the Ideal combine has unique characteristics, and the performances are superlative: “It's something that no combine has had before. First of all, the automatic adjustments, very important and very useful, help you to the quality of the harvest. It is much easier to track the ratio of losses, cleanliness of the hopper material, cracks and forward speed. You choose a ratio between all these, and the combine corrects them itself. It has over 50 sensors, indoor cameras, it records all the time it harvests. It is very complex, but at the same time easy to adjust. Depending on the ratio between cleanliness, losses and grain breakage that we ask for, it automatically makes all the adjustments and removes the harvested material exactly as we want it, and this helped us to harvest ”, says Daniel Sandu.
"On the tablet monitor in the combine booth, the operator draws with his finger in a triangle and the combine adjusts itself to obtain the desired parameters. For example, I applied a minimum working speed of 5 km / h and a maximum of 8 km / h and I wanted a breakage percentage below 1%, then I let the combine do its job. We managed to obtain consumptions between 1.5 and 2 liters of fuel per ton harvested, a very good yield ", says Alexandru Antonesei, Massey Ferguson product manager at General Leasing.
Unload 14 tons of wheat in 80 seconds
The Ideal combine "makes at least as many as the two smaller combines" they still have on the farm, says Daniel Sandu. The 17,000-liter hopper, about 14 tons of wheat, is unloaded in less than a minute and a half. "I measured in the field what I knew from the factory: unload the hopper in exactly 80 seconds", says Alexandru Antonesei.
The largest rotor on the market
The Ideal 9T combine has the largest rotor on the market: “practically, the grains are not attacked, they have more time to stay on the rotor, and in this way we avoid the crack and the foreign bodies in the hopper. This is also possible thanks to the Ideal Harvest sensor system ", explains Antonesei.
Unique features
The unique Ideal Balance system consists of two inclined planes that evenly arrange the harvested material and allow harvesting on inclined slopes of up to 14 degrees.
Another strength of the Ideal 9T is that it has only 13 belts and a chain inside, which means low maintenance costs.
The Power Flow system causes the harvested material to be fed constantly, which provides a higher working speed. Straw grain harvesters of 10.7 m and 12.2 m are available for the Ideal 9T combine. For corn harvesting, 12-row Olimac or Ziegler equipment can also be purchased from General Leasing.
